Sean grew up in Genoa, Ohio.  He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Sean spent a couple years living in New Albany, Indiana. He currently resides in Delaware, Ohio. He is married to Stephanie Forney, an artist and art teacher. Together they have a pup named Indy and co-created and self-publish the Scarlet Huntress comic book series.

Sean Forney is a twenty-year professional illustrator/comic book artist currently working on All Out Pooh (Counterpoint Comics) and cover art for Lady Death (Coffin Comics), Spicy Pulp Comics (Virus/Heavy Metal), along with his creator-owned comic series Scarlet Huntress. Sean also works as a colorist for Counterpoint Comics for multiple titles including Tiggomverse, Hardlee Thinn, Notti & Nyce, Savage Eve, and Do You Pooh? Published cover work includes Vampirella/Red Sonja (Dynamite), Totally Rad Wars (Totally Rad), Pestilence (Aftershock), Franklin & Ghost (SourcePoint Press), Bloodstrike (Image), Go West (Alterna), TMNT (IDW), and Back to the Future (IDW). Cover and interior work can be seen in Lyaxia (Alcyone Studios), Lark’s Killer, Black Flame Archives, Lord of Gore, and Zen: Intergalactic Ninja (Devil’s Due/1First), Delta Dawn (Corgi Press), and multiple titles for Zenescope Entertainment. Sean has also worked on commercial art for Upper Deck, Tire Discounters, Red Roof InnCut the Rope (Titan Publishing), Lego, Inc., My Adventures with Spider-Man (Marvel/Identity Direct), and the Bakugan toy line for Spin Master. Sean co-created and self-publishes the Scarlet Huntress series. His work is on display as part of the FCCFA’s Convention Center permanent collection and has been made into a mural in Columbus, Ohio as well. Stephanie Forney – Stephanie is in her seventeenth year teaching visual arts. She teaches at the high school level, mainly in the areas of graphic design, 3D modeling, and animation. She has a Master’s degree in Educational Technology Management and is currently a department chair for her building leadership team. Outside of school she works on commissions and children’s books in pastel, charcoal, and graphite. In the comics world she is editor-in-chief for Sean Forney Illustration where she maintains the books/accounting, website, flats artwork, writes, edits and formats all the art and books, and keeps the family dog occupied. She co-created Scarlet Huntress with Sean, which led to a spin-off children’s book Little Red Riding Hood: Origins of a Huntress which Steph wrote and illustrated. She writes all of the Scarlet Huntress stories and is currently working on the newest book, Scarlet’s Field Guide to Cryptids.
